"I'm definitely in favour. The way we live today, people want to be entertained when they shop; we have very little leisure time and when we use it we want it to count.
Dorchester should be far more vibrant, to reflect the lifestyle and people who live here. Anything we can do to improve the town and make it a more desirable shopping destination has to be worth trying.
The Dorchester BID team are so full of energy and determination that there is already a 'buzz' around town, change is in the air, I am looking forward to great things with the help of a BID in our County town."

"I believe the BID gives a fantastic opportunity for businesses in Dorchester to have a say in what they want for the town and to develop ideas and generate prosperity, that otherwise would not take place in the framework already laid down by the council and government.
To actually have a BID/Business Management Committee to co-ordinate and run schemes that a majority want which would be financially able to implement them is of great significance.
Also the ability to have enough resources to seek the early adoption of Council schemes is also a huge advantage, for example the pedestrianisation of the whole of South Street, yes even the lower end!"
"The Blue Raddle is a community pub. By collectively providing funds through the BID levy system businesses will be able to afford larger and more worthwhile schemes to benefit both themselves and the wider community of Dorchester.
We enthusiastically support the BID given the obvious benefits it will bring to our Town."
