This is the site for the Dorchester BID (Business Improvement District). Dorchester is an attractive market town set in the beautiful Dorset countryside and just inland from the famous Jurassic Coast - a World Heritage site. The town has a rich history, much evidence of which is still plainly visible. Maiden Castle, the largest hill fort in Britain lies just outside Dorchester and takes this history back 5,000 years to the late Stone Age/early Bronze Age. One of the aims of the BID is to focus attention on the attractions of the town.

Businesses in the town and others interested are invited to apply for free registration for this website. Registering will give you access to some very interesting restricted content where you can suggest ideas that could make good projects for future inclusion in the BID. Town businesses within the proposed BID area were invited to vote for the project ideas that had been put forward. These votes informed the selection of the final list of projects which were put into the BID plan. We would like people to continue voting so that we can see which other issues to tackle if money becomes available.Sign up now !
